With the introduction of the Edania territory in Black Desert, Sovereign sub-weapon was added to the game. Sovereign sub-weapon is versatile, combining the effects of Nouver’s and Kutum’s weapons.
Sovereign sub-weapon is currently considered the best sub-weapon and is ranked purple.

How to craft a Sovereign sub-weapon
You can craft a Sovereign sub-weapon in one of three ways:

Gem of Twilight
Gem of Twilight can be obtained by heating the following materials in the crafting menu (L):

You must use the same weapon type. For example, if you want to create a Sovereign sub-weapon, you must use a Blackstar sub-weapon x2. You cannot combine, for example, a main weapon and a Blackstar sub-weapon.

Gem of the Primordial
The Gem of the Primordial can be dropped at a low chance by completing the Edania boss subjugation [Weekly] For the Throne: Aetherion, or by heating
1000 Primordial Fragment, which can be dropped from monsters in Aetherion Castle.
Where are Sovereign sub-weapon made
Once you’ve chosen the appropriate crafting option for Sovereign sub-weapon, you’ll need to head to Mt. Ahshi in the Morning Light – Seoul to the Phoenix Statue.



Sovereign sub-weapon crafted cannot be registered at the Central Market.
Sovereign Sub-weapon – Enhancement
Sovereign Sub-weapon has 10 enhancement levels, but unlike other weapons, it doesn’t go from +0 to +10, but instead uses Roman numerals:
I-II-III-IV-V-VI-VII-VIII-IX-X
Enhancement Sovereign Sub-weapon requires a Primordial Black Stone.
Each failed enhancement reduces the weapon’s maximum durability by 20.
You can use Cron Stones to attempt the enhancement and get Agris Essence if it fails.
Primordial Black Stone
Primordial Black Stcan be obtained by heating the following materials in the crafting menu (L):

Reforging the Sovereign sub-weapon
In addition to their superior stats, Sovereign sub-weapon can be transformed to gain 5 additional effects.
These 5 effects are selected by the player and added to the weapon or swapped with a special Reforge Stone.
Reforge Stones are randomly dropped by defeating world bosses in the Morning Light region.
Some of the “basic” (common) effects, such as extra damage, HP, damage reduction, etc., have a high drop rate, while unique effects have a very low drop rate, making them difficult to obtain.
Each Reforge Stone can be sold and bought at the Central Market (starting price is 150,000,000 silver).

By obtaining the Reforge Stone, you will be able to add additional effects to your Sovereign sub-weapon.
You can add up to 5 Reforge Stones to your weapons.
You need to choose 5 unique effects, and you cannot stack the same effect multiple times.
If you already have 5 effects added, you can replace one effect with a new Reforge stone.
Reforge stones cannot be removed once they have been used in a weapon.
On October 30, 2025, Added the “Reforge Stones” UI to Menu (ESC) → Character.
Added a button to open the Reforge Stones UI from the Inventory (I).
Added Reforge Stones to be assigned as presets and included them in All-in-One Preset.
RMB a Reforge Stone from your Inventory to add and set for use via Reforge Stone presets.
Added stones cannot be removed.
Reforge Stones can be added to main, awakening, and sub-weapons, and activated per slot.
Press “Total Effects” to view all activated stats for the currently selected preset.
