Warriors’ stability when entering the battlefield has been improved by increasing the attack range of their dash skills. However, some stamina regeneration processes have been adjusted, requiring more careful stamina management. Additionally, the conditions for using the Burning Moxie skill have been relaxed for Awakening Warriors to improve its effectiveness in multiplayer battles. The buffs from these skills have been redistributed to more relevant skills.

Ranger

A remake of the underwater ruins of Sycraia

The underwater ruins of Sycraia have long been a popular hunting ground for adventurers thanks to their theme of ancient weapons from the deep sea.
This update preserves the original experience and charm of hunting in the Sycraia Underwater Ruins, while increasing the anticipation of the rewards earned along the way.
A key element of the Sycraia Underwater Ruins redesign is the addition of a mechanic that causes Sycraia memories to appear during battles. This mechanic appears when certain conditions are met during combat, and the rewards from this mechanic increase as the battle progresses.
Additionally, in addition to the new loot in the Sycraia Underwater Ruins – the Sycraia Crystal – we’ve also added the Refined Origin of Dark Hunger and Refined Essence of Devouring as exclusive loot for the Prime Hunting Grounds. This further increased the rewards available at hunting grounds labeled as “Top Locations.” Additionally, we’ve reduced the drop rates of Crimson and Violet Primordial Luster found in Top Locations, increasing the rarity of unique loot from that location.

  • The drop rate for items in the upper level of the Sycraia Ruins has been adjusted..
  • When using Allan Serbin’s paintings, the chance of obtaining a Rich Merchant’s Ring Piece from the Sycraia Underwater Ruins has been increased by approximately 1.33 times compared to the previous level, similar to the level in the Hunting Grounds.
  • As the difficulty of the upper level of Sycraia Ruins has increased, the contents of Marni’s Research Box, which is a reward for exchanging Great Marni’s Stones that can be obtained from Marni’s Research Box, have been changed.

With the reorganization of the Sycraia Ruins, many adventurers will be eager to access these hunting grounds. Previously, when many sought items like the Tungrad Ring in the Sycraia Ruins, accessing them was quite difficult. Therefore, we’ve simplified the journey by adding a quest that allows you to immediately reach the upper level of the Sycraia Ruins via NPCs in Velia Village and Iliya Island. 

  • Added a quest that requires you to hand over the “Fragment of the Deep Sea” item to the next NPC and move to the upper level of the Sycraia Ruins.
    • This quest can only be accepted if you have knowledge of the “Upper Level of the Sycraia Ruins”.

Improved Dark Hunger Efficiency

  • In Dark Hunger mode, the use of weapons and armor as materials has been implemented with the following changes:
    • Additionally, when using Dark Hunger on weapons and armor, changes have been made to only allow items with a boost level of IV or V to be used.
      • When using Dark Hunger on weapons and armor, the chance to receive the enhancement will definitely increase.
    • The February 25, 2026 (Korea) and February 26, 2026 (Worldwide) updates will change the chance of weapon and armor stats being boosted when using Dark Hunger.
  • Using Dark Hunger on a weapon or armor will now display a notification window instead of immediately continuing.
  • Since Dark Hunger gear is now available starting at level IV, the ability to obtain Black Stone is now available up to level III.

Blessing of Mystic Beasts – Life

Coral Crab furniture items obtained by hunting in the Edania region provide a bonus to Hunting Skill. Therefore, several considerations were made when adding the hunting-related “Blessing of Mystic Beasts – Hunting.” Adding “Blessing of Mystic Beasts – Hunting” would only benefit those who enjoy hunting, and if it were only available in the Edania region, the benefits of existing hunting grounds would be weakened. Furthermore, it was discussed that adding a separate “Blessing of Mystic Beasts” for each type of crafting content would be too complex and inconvenient for adventurers. Therefore, instead of “Blessing of Mystic Beasts – Hunting,” we simplified the process by integrating all crafting skills into “Blessing of Mystic Beasts – Life,” allowing players to obtain materials and craft items by hunting in any region, not just Idania. We hope that hunting content will seamlessly integrate with other crafting content, adding another layer of enjoyment to hunting.

Background, NPCs, effects, cutscenes

Expanding trade for everyday goods

Previously, merchants selling fruits, mushrooms, and herbs were limited to Calpheon, the world’s largest city, or to specific cities based on regional characteristics. However, recognizing the continued demand from adventurers freely traveling between cities, the Commerce Guild has deployed merchants selling these essential goods to every major city in Black Desert.

  • New NPC merchants have been added to major cities and towns:
    • With the addition of the NPC merchant, the placement of some objects and NPCs has been slightly changed.

Now all major cities will have vendors selling herbs, mushrooms and fruits.

  • For some NPCs, title assignment is organized according to uniform rules.
  • The “Node Tax Information” button is no longer displayed when talking to some NPCs.
  • The locations of some NPCs in Velia Village and Olvia Academy have been changed naturally due to events happening in the background.

UI

  • Fixed the scroll position of the list in the product UI persisting until the loading screen.
  • The magnifying glass icon for the “View Details” feature on the Event Integration page has been replaced with an icon more appropriate for the actual feature.

System

  • When the Essence of Agris (Ancient Anvil) is full, the list of guaranteed enhancement materials will no longer display.
  • After the enhancement process, if you close and then open the enhancement window while a success or failure message appears, the message will disappear.
  • Added a warning message when using equipment as a material to prey on darkness..
