Halo: Campaign Evolved Launches in Early Access for Premium Edition Owners

Halo: Campaign Evolved is now officially available in early access for players who purchased the Premium Edition. Fans who opted for the expanded version of the game can begin their adventure five days ahead of the global launch on July 28, giving them exclusive early access to the reimagined version of one of gaming’s most iconic campaigns.

Early access is one of the biggest benefits included with the Premium Edition. In addition to the base game, players receive the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, featuring exclusive armor and weapon skins for Master Chief, a digital artbook, the short story Halo: Hungry Buzzards, and a digital field guide. Those who pre-ordered any edition also receive the Foundry Armory Pack, which includes classic cosmetic items inspired by the original Halo experience.

The biggest highlight of Halo: Campaign Evolved is its modern recreation of the legendary Halo: Combat Evolved campaign. While the original story and atmosphere remain intact, the developers have significantly upgraded the visuals, cinematic sequences, controls, and overall gameplay experience. The goal is to preserve the spirit of the classic while delivering the level of polish expected from a modern AAA release.

Beyond the remastered campaign, players can also experience an all-new story expansion called Operation: METEORITE. This three-mission campaign takes place one year before the events of the original game and follows Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson on a dangerous mission aboard a Covenant research vessel. The additional storyline expands Halo’s lore and offers both longtime fans and newcomers fresh content to explore.

Another major feature of the release is full cross-play and cross-progression support across Xbox Series X|S, PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Players can seamlessly continue their progress on different platforms while also teaming up with friends regardless of where they play.

The full launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved is scheduled for July 28, but Premium Edition owners are already getting a head start. Early impressions suggest that the remake successfully balances nostalgia with modern game design, offering improved graphics, enhanced gameplay mechanics, and meaningful new story content while staying true to the classic Halo experience.
