Nova
| In a past update, Nova Succession had a portion of her summons’ damage shifted over to her own attack skills. With this update, we’ve increased the damage of wide-area skills that rely less on summons to make them more effective. We’ve also improved the combo transitions of skills that saw little use due to clunky animations, despite having viable range and damage. We’ve also increased the speed of some skills so long cast times no longer drag out your combos, and so you can build combos within a single rotation. Prime: Distorted Guard, also known as the “3 min Buff,” has been improved to provide more meaningful effects in PvE. |
Main Weapon, Succession
Prime: Bitter Reign
- Improvements have been made so that the third hit of the “Icy Thorns” skill now chains into the second hit of the “Bitter Reign” skill.
- Improvements have also been made to ensure a smooth transition from the second hit into the “Face the Darkness” skill

Icy Thorns
- Improvements have been made to allow for a smooth transition into the “Queen’s Gambit” skill after the third hit.

Prime: Star’s Call
- The speed of the chain into the follow-up “Storming Star” skill after using a skill has been improved to match the speed seen when used after “Icy Fog”.

Command: Frozen Earth
- The skill’s cooldown has been changed from 11 seconds to 10 seconds.
- The skill’s damage has been changed as follows.
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| Attack damage: 6308% x 5 26,82% damage in PvP only | Attack damage: 7132% x 5 23,72% damage in PvP only |
Prime: Distorted Guard
- A +20% casting speed increase effect for 30 seconds has been added when using the skill.
Queen’s Gambit
- The skill’s cooldown has been changed from 11 seconds to 10 seconds.
- The skill’s damage has been changed as follows:
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| Attack damage: 7419% x 1, max 4 hits Last attack damage: 5582% x 2 33,99% normal attack damage in PvP only 38,96% last attack damage in PvP only | Attack damage: 8308% x 1, max 4 hits Last attack damage: 8308% x 2 30,35% normal attack damage in PvP only 26,18% last attack damage in PvP only |
- The 3rd and 4th hits, as well as the final strike of the skill, have been improved to hit the target faster.

Quoratum’s Earth
The damage dealt by the skill has been changed as follows.
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| Attack damage: 6849% x 2 34.68% attack damage in PvP only | Attack damage: 7031% x 2 32.85% attack damage in PvP only |
Storming Star
- The skill’s cooldown has been changed from 11 seconds to 10 seconds.
- The skill’s spin attack animation has been improved to strike the target more quickly.
- The skill’s damage has been changed as follows.
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| Spin attack damage: 1,724% x 1, max 6 hits Last attack damage: 12,871% x 2 25.66% spin attack damage in PvP only 21.27% last attack damage in PvP only | Spin attack damage: 1,877% x 1, max 6 hits Last attack damage: 14,013% x 2 23.57% spin attack damage in PvP only 19.54% last attack damage in PvP only |

Woosa
| The previous update fixed an issue where the Storm Cloud effect from Prime: Quiet Waters and Prime: Cloudrise overlapped with each other. However, this fix also affected how Flow: Stormbolt works. Flow: Stormbolt is a Flow skill of Prime: Cloudrise that attacks through the storm cloud that skill creates. Because of the fix above, Flow: Stormbolt sometimes failed to activate properly when comboed after Prime: Cloudrise’s storm cloud disappeared. Keeping Flow: Stormbolt’s original mechanics would make Woosa Succession’s combos harder to build, since you’d have to constantly track the storm cloud’s duration. Therefore, we’ve adjusted the skill to make combos easier to build. |
Flow: Stormbolt
- The “Flow: Stormbolt” skill has been modified to allow it to be combined with “Prime: Cloudrise” until the storm clouds it creates dissipate.
- The knockdown effect has been changed from “Knockdown on successful hit” to “Knockdown on the first successful hit.”
- The skill’s execution time has been sped up to match the hit effect.
- “Wingbeat” has been added to the skill description as a skill that can be combined with “Prime: Cloudrise”
- An issue where “Down Attack” was not being applied to the skill has been fixed.
Prime: Wingbeat
- If the “Prime: Cloudrise” skill creates storm clouds, the link to the “Flow: Stormbolt” skill is improved and becomes smoother after using the “Prime: Wingbeat” skill.
Prime: Cloudrise
- Fixed an issue where the of Prime: Cloudrise was triggered when linking with the Prime: Rain’s Thirst skill followed by the Flitting Step, Yangban Step, or Wingbeat skills.
Class Bug Fixes
- [Ninja] Fixed an issue where the icon for the Sura Katana Training skill was not visible.
- [Striker] Fixed an issue where the grab hitbox of the Hell Break skill was displayed as a normal attack in Marni’s Combat Analyzer records.
- [Guardian] Fixed an issue where the grab hitbox of the Chokeslam skill was displayed as a normal attack in Marni’s Combat Analyzer records.
- [Deadeye] Fixed an issue where movement was intermittently shortened due to falling or collision detection when colliding with an enemy during the landing animation while using From Canary with Love ability.
- [Agent] Fixed an issue where the aiming point effect of the Blink skill was affected by other effect opacity options.
- Fixed an issue where durability did not decrease when firing a hunting musket while mounted.
Arena of Solare New Season
| Arena of Solare, the 3v3 PvP content where you can showcase both your individual skill and teamwork, is kicking off a new regular season. This regular season brings new improvements based on what we learned from the last season. First, we’ve improved the matchmaking system so Adventurers of similar skill can enjoy more balanced matches. We’ve also added requirements to keep ranked matches competitive and meaningful. On top of that, we’ve improved the end-of-season rank rewards, as well as the rewards for the top 100 Adventurers, to make your achievements on the fierce battlefield even more rewarding. Other improvements include a new battlefield and the Arena of Solare Voice Chat Auto-Connect. We hope you’ll join us for the upcoming Arena of Solare regular season. Thank you. |

Arena of Solare Ranked Match Family Fame Requirement
| Arena of Solare uses exclusive gear to allow anyone to jump in without meeting any difficult requirements, which was also the case for ranked matches. However, since ranked matches are about climbing to higher scores and ranks, they will now be limited to Adventurers who have earned a certain amount of Fame in Black Desert to keep matches more competitive and meaningful. To make sure this requirement isn’t a barrier for new Adventurers who want to enjoy the Arena of Solare, we’ve set it at an amount you’ll naturally reach after playing through some of the main quests or ADV Support content. Please also note that practice matches and custom matches will remain open to everyone with no requirements, just as before. |
- Arena of Solare ranked matches now require a Family Fame of 2,500 or higher.
- The Arena of Solare practice match and custom match features are available to characters level 60 or higher, regardless of Family Fame.
- You can check your Family Fame in the “My Info” (P) section.
Arena of Solare Voice Chat Auto-Connect
| Above all else, winning in the Arena of Solare comes down to teamwork and coordination with your allies. Following the HUD improvements in the last update, you’ll now automatically join the voice chat channel, making it easier for Adventurers to coordinate as a team. |
- Upon entering the Arena of Solare, you will now automatically join the Solare voice chat channel.
- Each time you enter, the “Listen” option is automatically enabled, while the “Speak” option is automatically disabled.
- As before, you can disable the “Listen” and “Speak” options if you do not wish to use voice chat.
- After entering, you can check the voice chat status via the UI displayed at the top right of the screen and adjust your “Listen” and “Speak” settings.
- If you wish to view the voice chat UI again during the match, you can find the relevant button within the team UI located on the left or right side of the screen.
Arena of Solare Matchmaking Improvements
| At the last Heidel Ball, we shared our plans to improve the matchmaking system so you can face opponents closer to your skill level in the Arena of Solare. Past match records showed that Adventurers were sometimes matched against opponents with excessively large score differences, such as matches between Adventurers in the Shining Spear and Radiant Spear ranks. Because matchmaking is affected by the number and information of Adventurers in the queue, this issue inevitably occurred more often in the highest and lowest ranks, which have fewer Adventurers. With this update, we’ve improved the matchmaking system’s internal structure to reduce how often matches occur between Adventurers with large score differences. We will continue looking for ways to make Arena of Solare Ranked Matches even more enjoyable for all Adventurers. Thank you. |
- The matchmaking system for the Arena of Solare ranked matches has been improved.
- The existing system, which searched for players with similar ratings as the waiting time increased, has been refined.
- Adjustments were made to ensure players in high-rating brackets are matched with opponents of more comparable skill levels.
- A restriction that limited opponents to only those below a certain rating in specific lower-rating brackets has been removed.
- An issue where matchmaking would malfunction after a player declined to enter the arena has been resolved.
- ※ Please note that matchmaking results may vary depending on factors such as the pool of participating players (e.g., class composition) and current player status.
Rewards based on the final rank in the Arena of Solare have been changed.

- The inactivity penalty rules for ranked matches have been changed.
- For Solare Incarnate, Radiant Spear, and Shining Spear, if no matches are played for a certain period within the high-score range (1801 points or higher), points will be periodically deducted based on your tier.
- The period of inactivity is calculated based on the playtime on the day of your last match (weekdays: 17:00 on the day of play to 01:00 the following day); the penalty is applied if the criteria are met at the time the Solare rankings are calculated (02:00).

- The penalty for inactivity is applied, and points are deducted at 02:00 on Thursday (the scheduled calculation time for Wednesday’s activity).
- To ensure safer management of the guild rating accumulated by all its members, a “Use Guild Fame” permission has been added to the guild system.
- The “Use Guild Fame” permission does not function on its own; additional permissions are required for each specific use.

Please note that characters who were progressing through one of these unavailable Serendia main quests can resume from “[Serendia] Golden Lion of Serendia,” the current version of the questline. |
- All legacy main quests for Serendia have been removed, with the exception of the currently available main quest, “[Serendia] Golden Lion of Serendia”
- Consequently, characters currently progressing through the legacy Serendia main quests have been updated so that they can start from the first quest of “[Serendia] Golden Lion of Serendia” regardless of their previous progress.
