Details of the update for the Global Lab BDO test server, which was released on Friday, October 02, 2026.
Please note that Black Desert test server update information applies specifically to the test server itself and is subject to change when the official servers are updated.
Combat Level and EXP System Revamp
| The maximum character level is being raised to 75, alongside a range of changes designed to make leveling a more meaningful part of your character’s progress. Previously, Black Desert had no maximum level. However, the EXP required to level up increased sharply beyond a certain point, making further progress difficult. Because continued leveling was not intended to be essential, the benefits and milestones tied to it were limited. This revamp aims to make leveling more rewarding, with benefits that give you a greater sense of accomplishment as you level up. With level playing a more important role, we have also improved how information on level and Combat EXP are displayed in-game, making it easier to understand at a glance. We will continue to look for ways to make every moment of your adventure in Black Desert more rewarding and enjoyable. Thank you. |
Maximum Level Increase
- The maximum achievable character level has been increased from 70 to 75.
- Experience points will no longer increase once level 75 is reached.
- Even though experience points cannot be gained after reaching level 75, experience points allocated to the character designated via the “Character Switch” feature will continue to accumulate as before.
- Any unclaimed experience points in the Character Switch UI will be deleted during the scheduled maintenance on October 7 (Korea) and October 8 (Global). Please take note of this and claim all accumulated experience points for your designated character before the update.
Additional stats for characters level 70 and above
- Upon reaching Level 70 or higher, you can now obtain the following additional stats.
- Starting at Level 70, you receive +3 to both “Extra AP Against Monsters” and “Monster Damage Reduction”.
- These stats also apply to characters linked via the Character Switch system, regardless of their individual levels.
- Example: If a Level 72 character (A) and a Level 66 character (B) are linked, the stats corresponding to the higher-level character (A) – specifically +9 Extra AP Against Monsters and +9 Monster Damage Reduction – will also apply to the lower-level character (B).
| Level | Extra AP Against Monsters | Monster Damage Reduction |
| 70 | 3 | 3 |
| 71 | 6 | 6 |
| 72 | 9 | 9 |
| 73 | 12 | 12 |
| 74 | 15 | 15 |

- You can also check the additional stats based on your level via the ‘View Detailed Stats’ option in the ‘My Stats’ UI.

Improvements to the My Info (P) window
- The “My Info” (P) window has been improved to provide more detailed information regarding the currently logged-in character’s level and experience points.

Class Changes
| Previously, certain basic stats such as Max HP, HP Recovery, Skill Resource Recovery, All AP, All Damage Reduction, and All Evasion grew at different rates for each class as they leveled up. These differences reflected each class’s identity and role, but the underlying basic stats were difficult to view at a glance. With this update, we’ve consolidated the level-based stat growth shared across classes. Class-specific differences remain unchanged and can now be viewed separately in the Skill UI. We hope this makes it easier to see how your class grows as you level up. |
- Base character stats have been standardized.
- The stats being standardized are Max HP, natural HP recovery, All Attack, All Damage Reduction, and All Evasion.
- Accordingly, the following changes apply based on Level 75:
- Max HP has been increased for the Sorceress, Lahn, Tamer, Kunoichi, and Ninja.
- For the Striker and Mystic, the following changes have been made to base Magic Damage Reduction and Magic Evasion:
- Magic Damage Reduction: Lowered to match the values for Melee and Ranged Damage Reduction.
- Magic Evasion: Raised to match the values for Melee and Ranged Evasion.
- The stat increases gained per level have been adjusted as follows:
| item | Changes |
| Max HP | Levels 1–49: Increases by 12 per level Levels 50–75: Increases by 25 per level |
| Natural HP Recovery Rate | It is fixed at 5 HP recovery at all levels. |
| All AP | Levels 1–75: Increases by 1 every 2 levels. ※ Due to the changes mentioned above, the final AP of the Tamer and Wizard – classes that previously possessed high base AP – will decrease. To maintain the existing balance, the AP increase effect has been transferred to other passive skills for these classes. Tamer: An effect increasing All Attack Power by +5 is added to the ‘Fortune’s Blessing’ skill. Wizard: The magic attack power boost from the Magic Power Boost skill has been changed from +24 to +29. |
| All Damage Reduction | From levels 1 to 49, All Damage Reduction increases from 1 to 23; it does not increase beyond that point. |
| All Evasion | Evasion increases from 1 to 283 between levels 1 and 50, and does not increase further beyond that point. |
- Adjustments have been made to the per-level increases and natural recovery rates of maximum technical resources to better align with the characteristics of each class.
- Consequently, the following changes will apply at Level 75:
- The maximum Resource (MP) for Sorceress and Hashashin has been increased.
- The maximum Resource (MP) for Drakania, Kunoichi, and Ninja has been increased.
- The maximum Resource (MP) for Lahn has been decreased.
- Consequently, the following changes will apply at Level 75:
| item | Changes |
| Maximum Skill Resource HP/MP/DP/FP | The value increases only between levels 1 and 51 and stops increasing thereafter; the increases per level by class are as follows: Classes with an increase of 1 per level: Warrior, Wukong, Guardian, Drakania, Lahn, Giant, Striker, Mystic, Musa, Maehwa, Ninja, Kunoichi Classes with an increase of 4 per level: Hashashin, Tamer, Shai Classes with an increase of 5 per level: Valkyrie, Nova, Seraphim Classes with an increase of 10 per level: Ranger, Scholar, Corsair, Dark Knight, Archer, Deadeye, Agent Classes with an increase of 15 per level: Sorceress, Maegu, Woosa, Dosa Classes with an increase of 20 per level: Sage, Witch, Wizard |
| Natural Skill Resource Recovery HP/MP/DP/FP | Fixed at 20 recovery at all levels: Hashashin, Tamer, Shai, Ranger, Scholar, Corsair, Dark Knight, Archer, Dead Eye, Agent. Fixed at 25 recovery at all levels: Sorceress, Maegu, Woosa, Dosa. Fixed at 40 recovery at all levels: Sage, Witch, Wizard. |
- Stat increases upon leveling up have been standardized; stat differences that previously varied by class have been moved to separate passive skills.
- These passive skills are automatically acquired at levels 50, 55, 60, 65, and 70.
- Example: The new passive skill for the Warrior class, “Warrior’s Memory.”

- The stat bonuses granted by the new passive skills are based on the stats of a level 72 character under the previous leveling system.
- Consequently, characters who were below level 72 prior to the leveling system revamp will see a slight increase in their maximum HP once they have learned all the new passive skills.

Woosa
| Previous changes to Prime: Cloudrise caused issues such as its Storm Cloud effect overlapping with the cloud summoned by Prime: Quiet Waters, or applying an incorrect number of hits. To fix these issues while preserving the combos Adventurers commonly use, we also made adjustments to certain combos, including having the Storm Cloud effect finish its attacks faster than before. Moving forward, we will take greater care in reviewing our approach to class adjustments. |
Succession
Prime: Quiet Waters
Prime: Cloudrise
- With the Storm Cloud Effect, if a storm cloud is generated again at the same location, the existing storm cloud is replaced by the new one.
Prime: Quiet Waters
Changes have been made to prevent dark clouds from forming in the same spot, resulting in an adjustment to the placement of the dark clouds created by the ‘Cloud Flower’ skill.
Prime: Cloudrise
When chaining the ‘Flitting Step’, ‘Yangban Step’, and ‘Wingbeat’ skills, the attack speed of the Dark Cloud Effect has been increased by 20% compared to before.
