Details of the update for the Global Lab BDO test server, which was released on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Please note that Black Desert test server update information applies specifically to the test server itself and is subject to change when the official servers are updated.
Characters

Maehwa
After the last update, we have adjusted Maehwa Awakening’s assassination capabilities. While our goal was to balance her ability to deal melee damage and assassinate for better flexibility, her current performance in both areas has fallen short of expectations.
To address this, we are leaning further into her role as an assassin by boosting her ability to assassinate with Air Attack. However, all Down Smash effects have been removed to prevent long skill combos on a failed assassination after a single CC attempt.
Furthermore, to better fit her improved assassination kit, her survivability has been adjusted to depend more on using the Invincible effect to avoid damage rather than engaging in direct confrontations.

Barter Improvements
To better accommodate new Adventurers venturing into the Great Ocean for the first time, several improvements have been made to barters. First, three barter routes are now available even to those who haven’t bartered before, making it easier to accumulate their total barter count. Additionally, we have halved the number of total barters required to unlock the maximum number of Normal Barter routes. The list of normal items that can be exchanged for Lv. 1 trade goods has also been revamped to better suit the current environment. The Crow Coin Shop has also received several changes. With the recent addition of Lv. 6 and Lv. 7 barter routes and the Blue Battlefield update, more Adventurers have been looking to craft and upgrade ships. To facilitate faster progression, the prices of related materials have been adjusted. Furthermore, items in the Crow Shop with daily purchase limits have been removed and replaced with those with weekly limits, allowing you to acquire larger quantities at a lower price. Finally, Tidal Black Stones for ship enhancement and Vell’s Fine Powder Boxes that recharge Alchemy Stones have been added to the shop. Sea Crystals, which were difficult to obtain, are now also available for purchase with Crow Coins.
- The conditions for inland trade routes that expand based on the cumulative number of bartering trades have been changed as follows.
- The following changes apply only to normal ~ 5-level bartering.
- The trade routes for Crow Coins and Stars of Margoria remain the same as before.
- The cumulative number of bartering required to expand trade routes has been changed to be more intuitive.
- Example: 2,551 times → 2,500 times

Monsters
World Bosses Quint and Muraka Improvements
Quint and Muraka are special World Bosses featuring unique mechanics that allow Adventurers to use cannons. Initially, many Adventurers used these cannons to subjugate the bosses, making full use of them. Over time, it has become easier to defeat Quint and Muraka without the cannons. In fact, using cannons has become a disadvantage for those aiming for the higher-tier reward, as it hinders their ability to accumulate total damage. Furthermore, the overall loot from these bosses was less valuable compared to other World Bosses, making them less lucrative to subjugate for the Adventurers. With this update, we have removed all part destruction mechanics to minimize unnecessary hassle and make the combat more intuitive and faster. For Muraka, the cannon mechanic has been removed entirely, allowing you to experience the battle using only your character’s strength. For Quint, cannon use is no longer required but now deals more damage than general attacks, offering more freedom in your strategy. Additionally, the value of loot obtained from defeating Quint and Muraka has been increased across the board.
- World Boss Quint has been changed as follows.
- Quint has been changed to cast attacks that strengthen specific parts of the body.
- Hitting the reinforced area with a cannon can deal additional damage and gradually incapacitate Quint.
- The Monster Basher has been improved to deal additional damage to Quint.
- Quint has been changed to cast attacks that strengthen specific parts of the body.
- The World Boss Muraka has been changed as follows.
- The body part destruction mechanic has been removed for a more natural combat flow.
- A combat mechanic using Muraka’s black crystal has been added.
- The loot rewards obtainable upon defeating World Bosses Quint and Muraka have been increased.

Arena of Solare Ally Location Indicator
In Arena of Solare, 3v3 PvP content, tracking the shifting positions of allies and enemies is a key to victory. As Adventurers who aren’t used to such content may find it difficult to stay aware of moving allies, we’ve added a new Ally Location Indicator function, which was also previously introduced as Arena of Solare HUD. Since combat is the priority, this UI has been designed with a translucent opacity to minimize visual clutter.
Arena of Solare
- Arena of Solare – A feature has been added to display ally locations and risk levels.
- Ally class icons move along the edges of the screen.
- If an allied character is visible on the screen, the screen edge icon is not displayed.
- The icon is translucent by default, and becomes opaque when an ally is affected by CC, revealing the effect.
- The number displayed below the inside of the icon indicates the distance between my character and allies.
